Which processor was sold to me new or used?
I bought an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 tray processor in an online store. They said it's new. He came to me in the original packaging with a ticket, but on the processor there are traces of thermal paste on the bends (the color is different). There were also several points similar to thermal paste, they were washed off. Do you think this is a used processor?

Might as well be used.
Did the packaging show signs of being opened? Was it sealed in cellophane?
It's impossible to say for sure. Perhaps, for example, it was used in a store to flash a BIOS on a motherboard - is it used in this case or not? Perhaps someone handed it over within a week after purchase, it was checked and repackaged. And maybe he really was already somewhere. Only to find out it is already impossible as well as to prove something.
A new processor always looks like new. That is, it is amazingly clean and beautiful.
But the seller could request the processor from the warehouse to test the assembly and return it back, or maybe someone made a return, in any case, such a processor in the store one fig will be considered new.
Well, in general, buying it in a store was not a good idea, it's a rather old processor, on aliexpress, for example, it's 3 thousand cheaper.
