Which power connector to choose?

Portable device, current consumption up to ~1A, voltage <12V.
Requirements:
1) Size. The minimum possible is required.
2) Reliability of the connection - the battery is outside the case of the device, so it often twitches, moves, turns off / connects
3) Fool-proof - so that you can’t accidentally connect it the other way around or short it out (with small change in your pocket, for example)
4) Durability - see item 2
5 ) Price. $10 a piece is not good...
Already been considered:
T-shaped connectors
82c0fd1ef95d102d5bfcfe412452726a.jpg
Do not satisfy part of paragraph 2, since the wire is soldered directly to the connector and does not have any fixation on the connector, which means it will soon break off when shaking, etc. .
Circular connectors
6033b4ee00a82e6c149f8ad6368c44c4.jpg
They do not satisfy clause 3 and part of clause 2 - most of the Chinese production has a central contact protruding beyond the insulator and easily accidentally shorts out. Plus, they are very easy to disconnect and the “male” connectors have an extremely poor quality of connection of the contact petals, to which the wire is soldered, with conductive elements, often there is no contact already inside the connector.
Pins with a latch

Everything would be fine, but over time, the contacts become very loose, you need to tighten it ...
Advise more, if anyone has any ideas?
As I see it, the ideal option: A
spring-loaded contact group like a T-shaped connector
Contact for connecting a wire has an additional fixation of the wire itself with insulation like a pin connector
The connector has a wire shock absorber to prevent breakage when bent, like a cylindrical connector, and a latch to prevent accidental disconnection.

SMA
0) current up to 2A (http://www.ittcannon.com/uploadedFiles/Product_PDFs/RF50-SMAPrecision.pdf)
1) small (dia. 5 mm)
2) with union nut - the cable will break rather than the connector will pop out
3 ) if the current source is “mother” and the receiver is “father”, then it is impossible to short
4) 500 connections without degrading the parameters (according to the specification), in reality - more than
5) $ 3 at retail for a pair, wholesale - cheaper at times.

MiniXLR.
Small, reliable, and with a lock.

For 1A , JST Male 2 pin connector and, accordingly, JST Female 2 pin connector are probably suitable , they are just with a key, on Chinese helicopters batteries are connected like this, and there currents are much larger.

I would use miniUSB. Very suitable for the first point. For the rest, it also seems to be not inferior ...

Then something like this, called 9006 HB4 connector

Only now they cost at least $5.

And what kind of device is this? Is it possible to make the battery inserted into the device, in the manner of a cartridge in a sega / dandy, and make the connector at least the same USB?

IMHO something like BNC would be convenient. Small, with a latch, durable. Such currents will easily pull. For the price - I rummaged on aliexpress - dad for a cable from $ 0.15 / pc.

Maybe www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9283__HXT_4mm_Gold_Connector_w_Protector_10pcs_set_.html of this kind? the cable is slightly recessed, plus you can tighten it with heat shrink if necessary.
well, I use a T-shaped connector on a multicopter - it seems to be not bad.

This is just a very broad topic. Could you be a little more precise about the dimensions of the device. As well as the price you are willing to pay for the connector. The connector from the headphones and others like them is quite reliable, with a latch and it’s not easy to pull it out. Plus the wire can be at an angle.

If you were considering T-connectors then you can look at the XT60. They are more reliable and more comfortable. True, they are for currents up to 50A, which is an overkill for you.

In general, dofiga connectors satisfy your goals. You can divide the device into two - 1,3,4 and 2.5. For example, take a Micro \ Mini USB and a latch to it (an option is just a loop on the cable)
It looks like BNC \ XLR \ MiniXLR is just right for you. But, I repeat, it is better to clarify the idea and why

I can offer RJ-11, if you use not the most Chinese female part, then it is eternal, the male part costs 1.5 rubles and in the event of a breakdown it changes in a minute.
