Which php framework is best for medium and highload projects?
At the moment I am expanding my knowledge of php. And I had to choose between a self-written engine and so on. Up to this point, I have not been involved in frameworks, I have simply already chosen the direction of my study.
My choice fell on the Zend Framework, as it was developed by developers from php. I do not know any specific facts, but it seems to me that this is already a serious argument.
For me, the main things are:
Performance
Scalability
Large community
The criteria are listed in order of importance. In the future, I focus on the creation of online stores and other trading platforms (prom.ua killer)
Understand correctly, any framework has many subtleties and it takes a lot of time to master it, I don’t want to spend time sorting through hundreds of frameworks.
I have only 2 questions:
Is Zend Framework 2 so good (I consider it an ideal, a monster, etc.)?
Which framework do you think best meets these criteria?

Well, if you need to quickly start writing, then this is no doubt YII / YII2, by the way, it is very fast. But now supporters of Symfony / Symfony2 will come and trample me :)))
I stopped following Yii, I used to write only on it, but now Yii2, as far as I know, is still in beta and is not quite stable, so I would not use it for fundamental projects. Currently using Symfony2, I like this framework for its scalability and modularity. Of the lightweight ones, I could advise laravel - it is now praised, but I did not continue to master it, because I was tired of rushing about, I settled on Symfony. I also used CodeIgniter, I liked it for its ease of use, by the way, a very good ImageCMS online store engine was written on the basis of it

Subjectively, I liked Symfony a lot more than Yii. And the code is cleaner and easier to understand.
A highload project usually comes with its own hooks and performance improvements regardless of the framework.
In terms of the rest of your criteria, Symfony2 really looks like a great option.
Among the advantages, I will highlight the fact that it will help to master very interesting modern programming patterns like Dependency Injection, DCI, SOA - it is very conducive to self-development.
I consider zf2 and sf2 to be leaders, I work most of all with zf2, there are practically no complaints, but still Zend is slightly inferior to Symphony, which uses and introduces new techniques and features, Zend is more traditional for me
