Which path is shorter in dive into python?

Hello!
I decided to switch to python, but I can’t find sensible literature.
I myself write in php, I am familiar with the object model, databases and other joys, so books in the style of "look, kids, this is a variable, it is needed for ..." please do not advise =)
Found Lutz (4th, 5th edition), but I won’t be enough for 1200-1600str, and I doubt that 80% of it is not water there.
I am looking for something like a reference book, but a little more detailed, it is desirable to carry out a training project in parallel.
ps In Google it is not banned, but there are so many disputes, and there is no time to get acquainted with all the books and draw your own conclusions, please share your personal experience.
Thank you.

https://www.python.org/doc/ - since you are already writing something, this should be enough

Ramalho Luciano. Python. To the heights of skill
Bill Lubanovich. Simple Python
you can look at these 2 books, although I think you can’t do without Lutz (albeit a lot of water) =)
