Which OS X will rollback to on macbook pro 13 mid2010?

Greetings! I have a MacBook Pro 13' mid 2010, with this configuration
2.4 Intel Core2Duo, 8gb RAM, 120gb SSD
And I really don't like how it "works" on macOS Sierra, everything depends on the percentage, which is often 90-100% loaded, everything lags, slows down and is not cool at all.
Actually the question is, remind me which versions of OS X were the fastest, and where is it better to roll back, in terms of performance / useful features? Thank you.

Have you tried a clean reinstall of the system? if all '10 firmware worked this way, Apple wouldn't include them in the supported system.
