Which of the two laptops to choose?

Good day.
I recently decided that I no longer want to stare at my horrible 1366 by 768 resolution monitor and decided to buy a new laptop.
After careful selection and bloody battles, only 2 candidates remained, between which I can’t choose. So, meet:
- Asus N56VZ
- Sony VAIO S
Both of them are with 15-inch screens.
I chose these two guys according to a very simple principle - I want everything at once and cheaper than a macbook :) I am
considering the maximum configuration with the exception of SSD.
What I know about them (and what I don’t know):
- i7
- a lot of RAM (everything >= 8 GB suits me here)
- NVidia GT640/650 M (ASUS wins here)
- both have high-quality cases (Asus has theoretically cooler? Who can tell something?)
- my girlfriend has a similar asus, and there is a breathtakingly cool keyboard. Can anyone tell me which one is in Sony?
- the price of both is approximately the same - 1300 euros.
- under Linux, Asus has problems with the waffle and with the function keys. At least so on that Asus, which the girl has. Maybe you can dig into this and fix it. If anyone has done this - unsubscribe :)
- both laptops are quite light, mobile and live a long time.
- Sony seems to have a cooler screen - all the same IPS.
- Both have a matte screen and this is very important
Well, something like this. If there are owners who can share a useful opinion, I will be very grateful to them.
And yes, I know that on Habré there are a lot of topics for choosing a laptop, but right off the bat I did not find a topic where exactly such criteria would appear.
If you know a candidate who matches everything you see above, write, maybe I missed someone.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all! I did choose a laptop, but at the last moment I caught my eye HP Envy dv6-7377 and I bought it.
It exactly matches all my requirements (except for the case - it is still half plastic).
As a result, for 900 euros you get a light, powerful, nice machine with a FullHD IPS screen.
I'm not overjoyed. This laptop is just what I needed to find. Sony lacked power, Asus lacked a good screen. Everything is in abundance here. I advise.

Of these two, I would take Sonya. In terms of characteristics, they are plus or minus fish, but the look and feel of using sonek from my experience is much more pleasant.

Sony by default has more overpayment for the brand (Vaio). In addition, I somehow already got burned with Sony support (I bought Vaio, I had Vista, and there are no normal drivers for anything else. Those under answered that they say that what the laptop comes with is supported as standard, the rest is not). Thank God that Vaio passed due to a defect (the infection squeaked because of the chokes). Although I suspect that most manufacturers support alternative operating systems at about the same level.
Universal advice - a) touch each copy with your hands b) read reviews, especially with the OS that you plan to use, and also check the relevance of the drivers

I have a Sony Vaio SVS 1511S3R
This model has a dual-core i5, and I immediately added Ssd and RAM on my own, ssd instead of dvd.
Weight 2kg, at below average brightness in energy saving. mode, working in phpstorm pulls up to almost 8 hours. - Sony still has an additional battery on sale (they promise +11 hours), but + 0.5 kg.
A serious minus of my 1511 series is the very quiet sound of the built-in speakers, i.e. watching a movie with a company is no longer very comfortable.
The screen is very good, high-quality matrix, matte - my eyes were very tired from the previous laptop, now not, the difference is huge, the only thing in Win7 is not very comfortable to work at 1920 resolution, set it to 1 down - it's comfortable.
When I bought, I suffered for a long time what to choose, except for the asus, HP was also a candidate. I went to the nearest video - I compared it, held it in my hands and on the trail. Day ordered a Sonya.
Sometimes I work under ubuntu - there are no problems, it started up right away. The only thing is extra. keys "out of the box" - do not work, it seems that someone there somehow connected them, I did not understand.
Ps My series has already been discontinued, on sale - 1512 \ 1513, perhaps some shortcomings have already been corrected in it.

_NOT_ asus ;)
They're more like "buy, kill, forget". Very flimsy hulls.
Don't look at ssd for nothing. Vertex 3 or intel gives more performance boost in daily work relative to hdd than going from… well… from i3 to i7 in the mobile segment.
And if you still don't need a fast video card (and you only need it for games and work with heavy 3d graphics - intel hd4000 is wonderful given its low gluttonousness) - look towards thinkpads. They will be better. 410 is also more mobile (it's 1600x900, really). And 520-ki fit into your Wishlist on the screen.

I have been using SVS1512X1RB for a couple of months. Personal impressions - the screen is very cool. The keyboard is very comfortable.
As for the strength of the case - xs, I did not check it. But purely "on the touch" - very good.
I plan to order a consignment note and a docking station.
If you have any questions about this model, please ask.

Have you searched for Ya.Market ?
In general, for good it was also necessary to specify a matte screen, but for most laptops the display type is not specified.
I took Aser Aspire V3 571-G . According to the characteristics for such money (30k + rubles), I didn’t find it cheaper at all :)
I’m terribly satisfied with the machine, the assembly is good, and the built-in sound is very good (Dolby Home Theater). But with the battery, not everything is rosy, it's a couple of hours of surfing the Internet / working in the IDE, or one hour of playing the same StarCraft II.
In principle, it is quiet, it heats up only during a heavy load on the video card, it is hot only in the area closer to the nozzles.
