Which linux distribution to choose for console only?

Good afternoon!
Recommend the linux distribution kit for working in the console i.e. no graphics mode.

Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, LFS and the list goes on. Almost any distribution can be installed initially without x, or you can simply turn them off.

A matter of taste and habit. I would choose centos, if not fundamentally the kernel, then unix and freebsd
As the author said above, any distribution kit can be installed without a graphical shell and only the console can be used.

IMHO debian
is NOT initially overloaded with services and packages under test, the distribution. And the console version (without x) will fly!
But if you are not an expert, then it is better to install Ubuntu . For a beginner, that's it

I would recommend Ubuntu Server. The servers have been running for over 2 years and have not seen any particular problems. Several times I was inclined to switch to CentOS, but did not dare. Basically, I don't regret it.

IMHO: Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian - not because others are bad or not like that, it's just that these distributions are the most popular for servers (in descending order of popularity), so there is more information on them on the Internet.

centos is the best option.
