Which laptop to choose? On Ubuntu Linux or OS X?

Help me decide. There is a choice between Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition and MacBook Pro Touch Bar.
On a laptop, I want to surf YouTube, use social networks, work in Excel (LibreOffice Calc), VirtualBox, Nginx is vital and everything that comes with it for web development, PHPStorm, and so on. by the list.
Before that, I had a Dell XPS 15 9550 with Ubuntu installed on it. Apparently I'm one of the few who was unlucky with a particular machine - first the speakers flew, then I noticed broken pixels, the charging failed and the cooler buzzed a lot (I sinned on Ubuntu, but it was the same on Windows). I waved my hand to this typewriter, although at first glance it looks like nothing.
I've been using Ubuntu for many years, I'm used to Unity, to deb packages, I write most commands in the terminal from memory. And after I installed this theme ( https://www.behance.net/gallery/28804097/Ubuntu-16... ) - OS X seems even uglier, although it seemed the other way around before.
But all Mac drivers praise Apple products so much, add to this the spoiled impressions of the Dell XPS 15 and began to think, why not switch to Mac AXIS? Which of the developers had a similar experience of switching from Linux to Mac - it took a long time to get used to it, what were the difficulties? All the same, Ubuntu is somehow closer and there is hope that when it is preinstalled from the manufacturer, there will probably be no problems (videos with reviews on YouTube - confirmation of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HmAC3Rs0WM).
If Ubuntu would get up on the MacBook Pro without any problems, there would be no choice. But the latest models are not compatible with Linux, wrote about it on Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/5c8s1k/wa...
In short, who thinks?
Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition or MacBook Pro Touch Bar?

I am a linux admin myself and have been using Ubuntu since 2007. But a couple of weeks ago I switched to MacOS. I can immediately say - the macbook itself, it is pleasant to hold it in your hands, on your knees, it is even more pleasant to the touch. You get some pleasure from using such a thing, and at the same time it does not distract. All plastic laptops seem like some kind of board compared to a MacBook. The operating system is pleasant in behavior, but I got used to it for 4 days. This is what concerns the GUI.
I didn’t customize the console in the macOS, I just installed fish and brew, but I miss a lot in it, the standard GNU Coreutils utilities, I understand that all this can be installed, configured, customized, but the first impression of working with the console is unpleasant.
In general, of course, both hands are for the MacBook, and there is nothing to choose from.
