Which laptop is suitable for java?

Old laptop slows down in IntelliJ IDEA environment. We need a small laptop, preferably with a backlit keyboard, so that it can handle java code. Within 37,000 rubles. Or is it better to take a personal computer? Please advise.

The one with more memory. For starters, you should look at how fat InelliJ IDEA gets. In fact, all their products are consuming a decent amount of memory.

I will say this: in the 13th version, it slows down on the P6200 (2 cores, almost analogous to i3), but 4 gigs on a 64-bit seven is enough for it.
If you write software for android .. then 4x is not enough (mainly because of the emulator).
Total: i5 or i7 level processor, 8 gigs of RAM and ssd hard (sometimes the normal indexing speed is very annoying) and remember about the "idea.exe.vmoptions"/"idea64.exe.vmoptions" file, in which the voracity of this environment is configured.

I myself use MSI GT 70.
And so, in terms of spec, look for i7 percent + memory as much as possible.
8GB was enough for me so far, although I’m thinking of expanding it, otherwise the application server + idea + derby in memory mode sometimes makes me think)
