Which laptop is better to take Dell Vostro V131 or Dell Inspiron 14z?

Or maybe there is an alternative?
Requirements:
1. Long battery life;
2. Processor Intel Core i5 (2450M);
3. Sizes 13-14, maximum 15;
4. Budget up to $700. More - sorry :).

Asus has a U3x series, small and with a good battery.
I myself am now choosing a new laptop, I also like Lenovo Z370, Acer Timeline. While I want to feel Asus'y and then think further.

And I liked the Latitude 5420 with an HD + monitor ... you should indicate the budget :)

If you choose from the two you cited, then I would take v131. It is more compact and lighter (I don't know if this is important for you or not) + it has a matte screen. And v131 will most likely run a little longer on battery due to the smaller diagonal of the screen, and everything else is identical.

And, well, the 14z also has a floppy drive, which in my opinion is a vestige of modern laptops.

Build awesome, it does not get much, almost no noise (not switch off for more than three months) , The performance is great (percent is not the same, but the difference is not so great). The battery lasts 3-5 hours, depending on what you do.

I have been using vostro v13 for a long time (previous generation before v131). Great lightweight mobile machine. One of the decisive factors in the choice was a matte display. It also has an aluminum body. I can't complain about build quality or performance.
Of the two presented, I would choose v131 without any hesitation.
But maybe it's worth waiting a bit: xps 13 is coming out soon . In my opinion, it will be an excellent device.

of these two - rather v131, it's good that the 13th is now being made with removable batteries. the design on the outside is cool, inside it’s boring like all dell except latitude, IMHO) if you want to use a laptop every day for a long time, read about reliability - when a lot of good things are shoved into a small case, there can be problems with it. alternative - HP probook 4330, they are with the norms of Windows, a bag and a vidyukha, but heavier, more expensive and with a drive that is not really needed. if you manage to hand over Windows and save on a bag, the same price will come out somewhere)

I like this model: HP Pavilion dm42102er .
In the specified budget, the truth does not fit a little, but it's worth it.

Between latitude and vostro it is better to choose the former. And so, in general, Dell is not very, for my taste.
