Which label printer to choose for a workshop where it is dusty, strong vibrations and heat?
A lot of workstations need to be placed in the shop. Each workstation has a barcode scanner, a computer and a label printer.
The workshop is very dusty (window production). The table where the computer is placed is subject to strong vibrations. And in general, they can kick, drop.
We are thinking of replacing the computer with a tablet. The scanner will hopefully withstand all this. And what to do with the printer?

There are Zebra industrial printers. Metal body and details. Dust can be blown off with compressed air and printed further.
Zebra Z-series.
Designed for work in workshops.
Steel case.
But not cheap.
But remember to regularly clean the optical sensors and the print head.
Can be expensive industrial thermal label printers.
You can buy cheap store-bought thermal label printers - they cost a penny, they can not be repaired (although there is nothing to repair there, they are very primitively arranged - a motor and a scarf-burner), but simply change to new ones when they fail.
