Which Jabber server to use?
Requirements: stability, MUC support with external connections, ICQ transport (desirable), freshness of server software, administration “who cares” (in other words, it would be someone to knock and resolve issues speaking either in Russian or in English), password recovery via mail / other kike (optional).
I tried several servers, stopped at jabber.ru, but after 1 hour I could not log in, I decided that I needed to look further.
Google, VK etc do not offer, I need a full xmpp implementation and MUC support with external connections.
Do not offer to rent your own VDS or jabber server either, this is a fallback option.
By the way, is it possible to make an alias using Google as a jabber server? I would like to use a different login in jabber, but without creating a separate mailbox.

You will not believe, but no server supports the full xmpp implementation, they implement it only partially.
In my opinion, stable jabber servers are provided only by large companies that have this service as a trailer, and in no way is the main one. After reading a bit, I can suggest LJ Talk, apparently, they offer exactly what you need.
In general, the jabber server easily becomes localhost, I recommend trying openfire, it will be interesting.
