Which is faster: router & router + adapter?

There is a NetGear WNR3500L (802.11n) WiFi router There
is a NetGear WNCE2001 (802.11n) adapter
There is an option to install a router at the entrance to the apartment so as not to pull the cable to the workplace, but connect the adapter to the processor.
Question: how much will such a connection be slower than the option to pull the cable to the workplace and connect the router directly to the processor?
