Which is better for a LIVE site: php or node.js?

Hello! I am planning to make a website where almost everything will be in LIVE mode, online chat, game, etc.
I know PHP and js, but I have never worked with node.js. Are there people who understand node.js and PHP?
Can you please advise which is better to use PHP or node.js?
