Which IP camera to choose for a crane?
Good afternoon!
It is necessary to install video surveillance on a crawler crane from the cab - so the question is which ip camera to choose for it?
you can’t hang a simple cylindrical type DS-2CD2T43G2-4I , I think everything will come loose from vibration. Dome can any? .. Or maybe you need an anti-vibration dome camera?
Tell me who faced this what to choose?

To begin with, what needs to be covered by the camera's viewing area, should it look wider or should it cover a narrow area .. where will the recording be made, is it needed or just viewing? After all, the iP-camera needs to be connected to a switch / router, a registrar (if a recording is needed), is this planned?
Dear Hickeys, I don’t think it makes sense to take it, an ordinary dome is 3 times cheaper than enough, nothing will happen to it

To the faucet? By no means IP! The IP camera has huge delays and sooner or later the crane operator will crush someone looking into it. You need a high definition analog camera. The standard is unprincipled, but I like HD-CVI. You connect this camera to the registrar, which in turn will be an IP device if you need remote access. And on the monitor connected to this recorder, the crane operator will see the video without delay.
According to models: best of all domed. It does not have a console, inherent in all bullet cases, so it is more resistant to vibrations. The lighter and smaller the camera, the better. For example, you can like this .
By the type of lens, it is best with a fixed focal length and a fixed aperture, otherwise it will become loose. If you need adjustment, then you need to select a model with autofocus.
If in doubt with the right focus - lay out the drawing, I'll tell you.
Cylindrical is also possible. If you do not use a regular mount, but do it yourself, it will hold on even more reliably than the domed one.
