I thought I would follow the path of astrophysics, but I thought that there could be various faculties closely related to astrophysics. places where it is located. He himself is an astrophysicist by education, he graduated from the Physics Department of Moscow State University (there is a department of astronomy). I am currently working on ballistic problems at VNIIEM. By the way, the chief was completing the department of astronomy at the Mathematics Department of St. Petersburg State University.
In Moscow, there is also a department of astrophysics in the Physicotechnical Institute. Large astronomical department at Kazan University. There are also departments in Rostov, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

From the point of view of programming languages, you will be given a base like C and Matlab, everything else will have to be learned by yourself. This is a minus, but a wide physical and mathematical training is a HUGE plus.
By the way, the mode of study at the 4th-5th year at Moscow State University allows you to attend special courses and lectures at the Mechanics and Mathematics - I recommend using it.

Astrophysics is a very narrow specialization. If in your city you can find a job with the knowledge of an astrophysicist, then you should consider this option. But it is better to think about technical specializations, as inf. security. Then you can find more job opportunities.
