Which drawing tablet to give a friend?
Can someone briefly tell the main price categories of drawing tablets? There is a novice artist I know, he has not yet painted on a tablet, only on paper.
I would like to understand in what price range are tablets-toys, in which are they suitable for entry-level, in what are professional budget ones, and in what professional for specialists, and how do they actually differ from the point of view of those who used it?
For example, I would like to understand how big the difference between the Genius MousePen i608X and Waltop Vega will be, otherwise the resolution numbers do not give an understanding of how important this is.

Hello.
Manufacturer only Wacom. Not Genius, not anyone else.
Which graphics tablet should you choose? look at my comment in this thread, there is the very essence)
The tablet is a very specific thing. We tried to use the Vacom tablet for much simpler tasks than drawing - to make edits to the layouts for the printing house. It didn't work. We continued to work in the old way - edit paper printouts, scan and send scans to the layout designer.
I join LESHIY_ODESSA - give a friend a tablet for how much money you don't mind. It will take root - for the next DR, give a professional version. He will not be able to switch from paper to a tablet - it will not be such a pity that the tablet is gathering dust on the shelf idle.
A tablet only with a screen and a Note3,4 Cintiq stylus, those that are gray without, I think a friend will not appreciate them, especially since he draws on paper.
