Which diploma translation is suitable for most countries?

Is it possible to foresee in advance, without a specific vacancy, what type of translation is required? Will English be suitable for most countries?
1. Just in English - I was immediately given a supplement in English at the university.
2. Notarized translation
3. First certified diploma, then apostilles, then translation
4. First certified diploma, then translation, then apostilles.
5. Sworn translation (for example, the Polish business incubator requires it, but not English, but Polish)

The concept of most countries is relative. Some don’t require translation at all, and a diploma too. Why do you need a translation?
If you look at Europe, then usually a translation into the official language of the country is required.
