Which DBMS is better to choose?
I have been using MySQL (MariaDB) for a long time and there are no problems. But more and more often in the news or in the text of the vacancy, I began to notice: knowledge of MongoDB or PostgreSQL is required. So what is better or each DBMS is oriented to its tasks?

Mongo is a NoSQL database, it is used when there are too many records that mysql will not pull, besides, there are such nice things as collections, but there are also disadvantages.

MariaDB is a performance-optimized fork of mySQL. It is absolutely compatible with mysql, an ordinary developer will not notice any differences.

Everything is more interesting with postgresql.
There are a number of differences from mysql that need to be understood.

MongoDB is a slightly different story, because it is a nosql storage.
It is not correct to compare it with SQL directly, read what nosql is and what they are.
