Which database to choose for a Trello-like project?

Good afternoon!
There is a project something similar to trello. Now the task is to rewrite everything and make the API extremely fast.
Since most of the performance problems are just related to the database and working with it .. I would like to ask third-party developers for advice.
The api is built using Yii2 RestFull.
The current database is mysql, but now we are leaning towards mongodb because of its speed .. but at the same time I like postgresql for its power.
