Interested in this question:
For an iOoS application, a database is needed that will store user data (accounts) and some additional entities.
What options are there to use? It is desirable that later it could be used for android, as well as with the possibility of expanding it to a larger number.

with such extensive knowledge, I suggest you row towards some kind of PaaS solution. (firebase, for example)
and correct the question - your database is not in the client?! otherwise, they will advise skulayt!
