Which CMS to start learning?

Before that I worked only with InstantCMS, I want to go further. Which CMS is better to start learning: Joomla or WordPress? Or are there other options?

If the choice is between Joomla or WordPress, then WordPress is definitely worth choosing.

None. Learn programming languages, frameworks and other technologies. CMS is the level of the hungry student. If you want to work in a serious outsourcing, then you need good knowledge of programming languages and frameworks.
After that, you will understand that mastering any CMS will be an easy task for you.
PS: And when you grow up, then take up SOLID, GRASP and GoF.

What to study them? Everything is clear there. Set a task and try to choose a CMS with add-ons for it. Look at templates. If you don't want to learn programming, take a look at MODX, it's a cross between a raw php framework and a CMS.

Study both (only if Joomla, then the 3rd version - at least the design is nicer there :)). Or better yet, some kind of framework
