D.Flanagan | JavaScript. Detailed guide
Expressive JavaScript
Would also recommend a Sorax video course
Of your two, I would take the first one. But books are bullshit without practice...
If you will learn from scratch (and as the first programming language) - I do not advise Flanagan, it will be difficult and a lot of things are not clear, he describes there all the details that it will be difficult for a beginner to understand, then this is a "detailed" guide. As for deepening your knowledge and consolidating, then this book is a good option.
I would advise you to watch Borisov's "specialist" video tutorials. They are long but worth it. Also the site learn.javascript.ru
