Which bitcoin miner to take?

Tell me, please, which bitcoin miner is better to take? Interested in power of the order of 700-1000 GH/s. Are they paying off at all now? Can you trust this calculator ? Judging by it , this miner will beat itself off in 6 months, and for the remaining 6 months it will bring only 50% of its value, did I understand correctly? But there is a possibility that the rate will grow, and the complexity will grow more slowly, then my investment will pay off faster and I will be able to earn more, right?

It seems to me that it should be clear to everyone that it’s easier to just buy bitcoins and wait for the rate to rise than to mess with the miner, if the rate doesn’t grow, it will practically not bring money, as the complexity grows faster and faster.
