Which bill acceptor model is better to choose, preferably with the available API for working with it?

Hello!
It is required to pick up a bill acceptor for the future vending machine.
So far, I have googled documentation for some of them, but I would like to know if someone found ready-made libraries from developers or a description of the protocol for working with these devices?
Thanks in advance for the answers and tips, I do not have the proper experience in this matter to google correctly somewhere, so I will be glad for any help.
