Which backend language to choose to learn?

I apologize in advance for the off topic. The post seems to be purely for the sake of holivar. There is some experience with php (simple scripts, finalization of sites on wp, joomla, bitrix partially and any other rubbish self-written not by me). I thought it was time to sit down for some kind of framework. But then it even crossed my mind "do I use the same language at all? can I switch to something hype like python or go, or maybe .net?". The latter was voiced to me by a friend, but he didn’t bring any advantages to using it, but he himself only singled out the disadvantages. So what to choose? Stay using everyone's unloved php or spend time and learn something new (then what do you think is worth paying attention to)?

PHP will always be on the hype, it's a classic.
And php is not loved only by those who do not write on it. I personally really like the language.
Frameworks (by popularity): Laravel, Symfony, Yii2(1)
