Whether there is an expediency of use of Cisco 861 for distribution of the Internet of 80 Mbps?
Good day!
There is a channel from the provider 80Mbps. and four buildings, each of which has a router that distributes the Internet via WiFi. These routers are connected to the central router of the provider, which periodically freezes during peak hours. During these hours, there are approximately 60-75 active users on the network. In this regard, it was decided to replace the piece of iron. On the part of the management, a proposal was made to move the Cisco 861 from somewhere. The question is the expediency of such a move. Will the performance of 861 cisco be enough to distribute 80Mbps over NAT, or does it make sense to use something else? Apart from setting up a PPPoE session and distributing the Internet, nothing is required, but 802.1Q support will be an additional plus, as it may be needed in the future.
