Is it possible to unload the result of the select count * query from the Firebird database directly into OpenOffice, or can xml be formed?

Use the regular isql utility, discuss and upload to csv
Or put any adequate freeware (or even pay, it's normal for convenience) like ems mysql studio or simpler like laxsql
