User interface

Where to start learning UI and their development?

All my coding and interface development skills come down to the experience of writing a website for the school where I studied, and that was 3 years ago. I would also be grateful for specific recommendations, incl. authors, books and other materials.
Interested not only in the field of software, but also in hardware interfaces, ergonomics and everything that accompanies this area.

this is something at the level of feeling, when you understand that they didn’t think for you here, it’s crooked, there is no volume, but here everything is ok. to get started, read the guide to many practical paragraphs

I would suggest starting with Jeff Raskin's book The Interface. Although the book is old, but all the principles have not gone away and much has already been implemented in modern browsers :) I would also recommend the book "Web Form Design: Filling in the Blanks" which describes seemingly such a simple thing as data entry forms.
