Where to Go: .Net Certification or Java Certification?

I have this situation: I have been programming in C# .Net for more than 2 years. I recently graduated from the institute (in engineering), changed jobs and now write in Java.
Thinking about further development, it seems to me a good option to get certified and confirm your knowledge of a professional programmer.
Here I ran into a dilemma - which program to choose? From MS or Oracle (by Java)? On the one hand, I have enough experience with the .net stack, and it would be nice to put this knowledge on paper. On the other hand, I'm currently working with java.
Or maybe there are certification programs that capture the global knowledge of technologies and methods of software development, aka a multi-station programmer? :)

You first decide what you need this certification for. At the moment, as I understand it, you have no problems with finding a job because of this, you write on both. If it’s just to pump up self-esteem - so get certified in everything, if you intend to work in a specific area purposefully and deeply - then it’s also clear that you need to get certified in the chosen direction. And if you are still rushing back and forth, then it’s just worth working and waiting until the answer itself appears on the horizon.

Do not hesitate to get certified in Java,
SCJP then one of the levels above there 3 (Business Component Developer, Web-Services Developer, Web-Component Developer) and then SCEA - this is aerobatics that says that you are incredibly cool :). (after the merger, the names of the certificates have changed, for example, the last one is: Oracle Certified Master Java Enterprise Architect) Certification is needed if you do not want to code all your life and move to a higher level of design and management. I do it myself and advise you.

First of all, certificates are needed not for you, but for your employer to get all sorts of goodies from vendors and win tenders. Here at the employer also take an interest that it is more necessary for it.

by .net www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcad.aspx development… mcsa. there are all sorts of mcsd ...
in general, google for these abbreviations.
Although if you fix something, it seems to me that an example of your code in open source or an application under wp7 seems better. You can always look at him at least. and certificates are often handed over by dumps (answers to questions merged from certification centers probably)

The presence of a certificate gives an advantage both in hiring and in determining the salary. specialist. According to the hh.ru report, the average salary there are 30% more certified specialists than their non-certified counterparts.
Regarding the choice between .Net or Java, I would also recommend the latter. To help you prepare for certification, I can offer materials from the site itexams.ru - here you will find everything you need for your certification
