Where to get practical tasks?

I read a book on python and java, I seem to have mastered the syntax, the basics of OOP, but I can’t figure out how to use the skills (and I would like to fill my hand with a trainee before the device).
maybe there are some sites with a set of tasks for practice, but more serious than rosettacode or codeacademy?

An interactive tutorial with comments. Well, above was suggested by checkio.org, just a great resource for Python.

Write a couple of small toys, at least a Tetris or a snake. But full-fledged: with an interface, configuration, saves, sound, and so on.
In the process, you stumble into a bunch of different areas.

yes, just probably on freelance resources and exchanges, even if for an idea and experience, then you can do it for free. although you can earn a pretty penny. somewhere someone wrote that never work for free, because you still have to appreciate yourself. but Indians still can’t be dumped, but you’re fine

I'll tell you these tasks there ... enough for two or three lives. You can also look at other clouds with the code, I think, not a single github

I highly recommend, oddly enough, the book: Java How to Program, Deitel Deitel. Excellent assignments for each chapter-topic.
