Where to find mini-servers?

Once on Habré there was an excellent review of a mini-server, the size of a power supply, which hung on an outlet. Have such things become popular? Maybe someone came across reviews / comparisons of any mini PC?
(If anything, I need a mini Windows computer working around the clock with only one light program, for example, MicroXP. That is, 256-512 RAM, a Celeron processor no more than 1.5 GHz, a screw even up to 1 GB, and at the appropriate price :)) .
Thanks in advance for any hints!

Are you by any chance asking about GuruPlug ? I don’t know about popularity - I bought myself one with two Ethernet ports. So far I'm just playing - I plan to use it as a router instead of disappointment from the "Z *" company ...

Any laptop with a broken screen.
For example eee701/901. They cost a penny (1000-1500), it's pointless to repair (the cost of the screen is higher than the cost of the laptop), there is enough power with a margin + UPS.
For insane needs, this one is lying around - 701X with 2Gb HDD / 512MB RAM. More than two hours battery life + Wi-Fi.

There are old BUS computers, they are completely suitable in terms of parameters. There are a lot of them :) For the price - around 1500 rubles. If interested - in a personal)

Do not take an old computer as you were advised. Noisy, heated, consumes a lot of space and electricity.
But a laptop with a broken screen (and it is highly desirable with a live battery, which will solve the problem of power outages and the ability to “plug the wire without turning it off”) is probably worth a look.
