Where to apply knowledge?

Hello.
Are there any platforms / sites where you can offer your help (free of charge, for the sake of experience) to any IT projects / startups? And does anyone need this help at all, if there is bare knowledge of the programming language, and there are not very many practical skills?

here it will probably depend more on the level of proficiency in the programming language and in general in computer science, mathematics and programmer-algorithmic approaches.
if you are well versed in all this, and even know the language, then you can go somewhere for an internship, get a job as a student in a small office for the development of something, in the public sector or for an uncle. this occurs. you can also do freelance orders for a penny (you don’t need to do it for nothing). you can come up with your own project or even take any textbook with programming tasks and solve it. you can find sites for programming competitions, ranging from school to international ones - try your hand there too.
constantly learn and practice, try all new knowledge in practice, learn from mistakes. then it will make sense :)

You can write labs for students, or you can freelance.
