Where should you focus your efforts in further developing your skills?
I apologize in advance to everyone whose eyes are leaking from such questions, I have no familiar developers (except for the same green classmates), so I can only ask the community.
I would like to read a couple of tips on how to get off the ground and develop further professionally.
I studied JS for a year, I started to navigate the ecosystem of the language quite well (mainly in the specifics of the backend).
And I came across the fact that there are not many ideas for self-practice, but they are not yet hiring: it seems that juniors are not needed on the backend. There are simply no vacancies below the middle level for a node (in St. Petersburg).
Maybe I chose a technology stack that is not very convenient for a junior:
Nodejs + nosql / sql + express + typescript.
For the sake of interest / pleasure, I periodically poke java and python, solve all sorts of problems on codewars on them.
Yes, they say that juniors are really not needed, but how to get experience if there are no real tasks?
PS Maybe there are people here who need help on personal projects? I don’t even think about any payment, I would like a little experience, but time is a wagon and a small cart.

I do not believe that there are no companies in St. Petersburg that recruit newcomers, train them, and hire them with a salary of 20k.
In my muhosransk, there is such a company.
As for the tasks - go to the freelance exchange and see the tasks.
