Where is the command history in PowerShell?

I feel like an idiot, because I can not find the answer to this simplest and most obvious question anywhere. In Bash, this somehow works "from the factory", but in PS, apparently, you need to somehow cunningly configure something somewhere so that it stores the history of commands from session to session.

PS: Windows 8.1 x64 if that matters.
