Where is the cheapest place to keep .com domains?

There are many .com domains for different projects. Which registrar has the best prices? So far, the best I've found, $7 (edit - with kopecks) per domain. Are there better options?

The base price for a .com domain is $7.85 per year. This is the amount charged by Verisign, the administrator of the .com zone.
Anything below this value can be considered sponsored by the registrar. Why would registrars do this? - either attract new customers (and then you need to look at the prices of domain renewals), or subsidize through related services (it’s already difficult to recommend something without understanding what else you are ready to order)

Unlikely. If $7 is not only a registration, but also a renewal, then this is a very good offer, less than what the registrar pays the registry.
Also note if they are asking for separate money for Private whois / Whois privacy.
Of the well-known and sane registrars with adequate prices, I can advise Porkbun and NameSilo.
If you find something noticeably cheaper than them, then I would advise you to first study what kind of company it is and read reviews about it.
Another option is to wait for Black Friday and register domains as part of the promotions that will be held. The first year may well come out noticeably cheaper than the market average.

Have a look at SearchEngines in the "Selling, Evaluating, Registering Domains" topic for offers from registrar partners. In general, they can be used to understand what prices are currently on the market.
The audience there is appropriate, for which the minimum cost and reliability are important, popular offers in the top. In 99% (if not more) cases, there is no reason at all to overpay for registration directly with the registrar. The registrar can offer a price lower than through its partner dealer, except for a promotion.
I do not give specific links, so as not to look like an advertisement. If someone knows other places / forums where you can go to such partner registration panels - I will be glad to know about them myself. I myself can only remember a similar topic - a selection of cheap domain prices and promotional offers on ru-board, if it has not died down over the past many years.
