Where is the best place to store frequently accessed data?

There is a nested array containing a list of statuses and settings for them, it is generated from the database. This list is used on almost all pages, I'm thinking of writing it to the session and using it from there? Does this method have negative sides, and are there other ways?

put it in redis or memcached, that's what they are designed for.
