Where is the best place to start learning artificial intelligence?

Hello! I became interested in the topic of artificial intelligence and would like to know the opinion of more knowledgeable people. Advise where to move and where to start, are there any courses, how are they different, perhaps there are several directions for the development of this area, does it make sense to get some certificates, if so, do they have any tangible weight. Googled, found some, but would still like to hear opinions.
It is also interesting, if you are engaged not only as a developer of application programs with AI elements, but also as a field of science, in which direction should you look? Thanks in advance for your replies.

First you need to understand what interests you in AI. Strong AI (analogous to the brain) does not yet exist. Weak AI is divided into a bunch of areas - speech recognition and synthesis, image recognition and synthesis, recommender systems, specialized AI for games, and so on. Universities have departments dealing with AI, online for sure at Stanford and on the course. Here it should be noted that the time of singles has passed, it is necessary to gain minimal knowledge and get a job in a team where they are specialized in this.

AI is simply a logical processor and neural networks.
At the heart of this is the understanding of human language and the recognition of various images.
Language is linguistics - language model, general syntax, semantics...
Images are images, sound, movement.
As far as I know, there is no theory about pattern recognition and language model yet.
That is, there are many linguists and programmers, but they have not been able to do this for decades.
