Where is the best place to put mediaquery using Pug&Sass?

When laying out a landing page, for example, I break all sections into separate .pug files and their corresponding .scss files. So, I'm wondering where is the best place to put media for an adaptive?
Writing them into the same .scss files doesn't seem very nice to me... Perhaps it's worth throwing them into a separate file with the entire adaptive?
How are you doing in your projects?

I write requests directly in blocks and combine them with galp (gulp-combine-mq). Less beautiful, of course, but you don’t get confused in a whole sheet of requests located in a separate file)
