Where is large amounts of data stored?

For 2008, the approximate amount of youtube memory is about 7 petabytes, and in 2020 there are probably hundreds or thousands of them.
As an ordinary user, I wonder where and how such large amounts of data are stored?

In data centers around the world.
Google "cdn" for example, but it's not really about storage.

Google uses distributed storage, data is written to a bunch of hard drives, over all this software that gives an abstraction for programmers to work with files. The system itself monitors the duplication of data, their redundancy, in the event of a failure of one of the storage facilities, it simply copies the data from the redundant year to the new one.
