Where is it now possible to buy a small (20Gb+) SATA screw for little money?

If on some used / ear sites, they will slip discs with bads, and even ask for money for it ...
This does not happen in stores anymore.
And as a gift, my friends didn’t have anything lying around, I handed my last 40GB one to the patient instead of a dying ATA screw.

Oh yes, we are talking about SATA 2 aka SATA-II aka SATA / 300, internal 3.5".

Where can I find it?

SATA screws with a size of 20 GB were made only in the form factor 2.5, I have never seen the usual size 3.5 less than 40.
I think that you will not find a new screw of this size, but if you still decide to buy a used one, then usually they run tests for block reading speed for screws. If the read speed of all blocks is normal, then the probability that it will quickly fall is very small.
But I still recommend taking a cheap modern screw.

What's stopping you from testing before you buy?
In general, new hard drives cannot be found in that volume, and if you buy a used one, then a) there will be no guarantee for them, b) they will have a long service life (and here you should not forget that this is a mechanical device).
So, which is easier, as already said:
