Where is ASP.net used today?

I’m interested in what area ASP is used in
1. What kind of projects are developed on this technology
2. Is there enough freelance work for beginners
3. What is most convenient to do on this technology (what tasks did you solve)

I'm wondering in what area ASP is used

ASP is dead, long live ASP.NET ! No, long live ASP.NET Core ! ;-)
1. Any projects. How big and complex. There is no point in doing something simple, for this you can use something like PHP .
2. There is work. But for beginners these days it will not be sweet. Over the past seven years, things have become much more complicated.
3. You can do everything :-) Blogs, forms, portals, shops, payment services, corporate websites. In general, anything. My current projects are complex systems that I am no longer able to cover in their entirety and are not limited to using ASP.NET . But .NETdominates because it is convenient and just a pleasure to work with, from the process of writing code, to debugging and testing.

Dead technology, no one needs it.
New projects are not written on it.
CORE will not save the situation.
Now the fashion is on: REST API (any language is practically suitable, a lot of mind is not needed, all the load will be on the database) + Frontend Client

Sufficiently large and modular projects.
Mostly commercial sections
For example, they are used both in banking systems and for various microservices.
1. Microservices, and applications with increased protection
2. Not really
3. Control panels for stands / hardware, and so on.
