Where do you store digital photos?

I think every amateur photographer has a moment when he asks a similar question. Where to store tens and hundreds of gigabytes of captured digital images?

Selected photos are printed, this is understandable. It’s a pity to delete the rest, they need to be stored somewhere. On the HDD, the place is not rubber and ends sooner or later.

And why don't several photographers team up and start bluing pictures among themselves, ideally, buy a place in the cloud together?
Why not an option?

Yesterday I asked myself the same question. I came across a review here habrahabr.ru/blogs/personal/59962/ .
I chose Yandex.Fotki for myself, so far I like it! :)

I store it on two internal hard drives, so far for 3 years of active, but selective photography, I have accumulated 70 GB in RAW, the place is not critical, since I periodically thoroughly clean the file washer from porn garbage. Over time, I intend to acquire a NAS, about 2 TB in RAID-1 on Hitachi screws - so far they are unconditionally leading in my reliability rating.

I store in iPhoto - very convenient for viewing. iPhoto syncs all photos to Flickr - a very cool and handy thing! No restrictions and something like 20 bucks a year.
In case the computer shuts down, you can download the original images and videos sorted into albums.

I keep two copies at home.
More:
I always store photos in the maximum quality on the main working computer, from time to time I make a backup copy to the screw of the backup computer. As a rule, hard drives get cheaper much faster than I accumulate photos (now about 50 gigs). For quick and easy viewing on a working computer, I cut reduced copies of optimal sizes through batch processing of files + actions in Photoshop, for such files, of course, I do not make a backup copy.

Keeping only at home is not the best option

NAS Synology DiskStation. A very pleasant thing. Based on the photos on the disks, she herself makes a photo album (website) available on the local area. She downloads torrents, and in general is very multifunctional.

All raw (now approximately 560 GB) + processed JPEGs (90 GB) are on internal drives. Occasionally I copy to external.

They are stored anywhere in parts: on one laptop, on the second, on an external drive ...
I just print the best photos (picked up by hand), the best ones are uploaded to picasa and netprint.ru (I print on it - I recommend it). The safety of the rest of the mass is no longer so critical.
If you are a professional, then it’s not worth saving - a good NAS with a mirror raid at home and periodic (selective?) Backup to Amazon/Picasa/etc.

Comrades, keep the photo on Wikimedia Commons ! =)) The place is unlimited, the photo is in original resolution, you don't have to pay at all, there is a good uploader and the photos are not idle, but are used by Wikipedia. True, the photo must be released under a free license.
