Where did the 23gb file come from?

The site has grown to 26gb, they asked to see what the problem is. The problem turned out to be in the "bitrix/catalog_export/mailtarget.xml" file, which weighs 23gb (the remaining 3gb is the weight of the entire site). Does anyone know what this file is and what it is filled with?

In theory, files with directory uploads are stored there. For example, a feed for Yandex or google merchant.
Try going to the admin panel here: Store > Settings > Data export. There you will see a list of active upload profiles. One of them most likely writes to the file you specified.
Most likely, the one who wrote this upload profile forgot that the file should be cleared at the beginning of the upload. And now, with each unload, it is added without overwriting.
