Where can physics be useful for a programmer?

If you do not take into account game development and robotics, are there other areas in IT where knowledge of physics is necessary?

What are you, a millennial, God forgive me? Gamedev, robotics... Life is not limited to IT. Fundamental sciences are like the laws of nature in our part of the universe, what does it mean "where can physics come in handy?"? You shock me)

Nowhere knowledge of physics is needed for programming. Even in game development, a ready-made physics engine is used. You are only writing high-level code in both the algorithmic and physical senses.

* Calculate the wiring in the apartment in order to know where you can turn on the kettle and refrigerator in one outlet, and where your plugs will be knocked out right in the middle of a round in the pillbox
* Arrange Wifi in such a way as to minimize the impact from neighbors and provide maximum coverage in the apartment for your wifi
* Understand the difference between optics, ethernet, wifi, satellite communications, and thanks to the basics in physics, understand where the ping is and where the throughput is affected.
* in addition to gamedev and robotics, physical engines help to create a convenient and beautiful user interface, with normally moving menus, with an adequate color scheme.
* 3D graphics are not only in toys, there are also videos - advertising, clips, cartoons, films
PS School physics is generally a must have for anyone, not only in the IT world.

Turned upside down. And physicists who know how to program and programmers who know physics are in demand, for example, at CERN or NASA Ames Research Center.

In application programming, when you need to calculate thermal conductivity to correct measurements. For the same electricity metering - calculate the average current for half an hour, when there is only a meter reading.

an astronaut also does not need a master's degree in space, but it is more peaceful to live on the ISS when you know how each screw of a tongue works and you can fix it if anything.

there are many branches in physics. and applied tasks in each of the areas abound.
ps There are dozens of computers in a modern machine. and they are well programmed.
