If you need homemade products, then definitely aliexpress, unfortunately, only there are affordable prices (and the same low quality).
500r for a nema 17 stepper motor or even cheaper with a gearbox - much more affordable.
ps if you want to make hi-tech like

then their components are not available to mere mortals or are inadequately expensive, for a runner robot an engine with a high torque was specially developed ... they don’t sell them.
Available electronics are all for low speeds (the ratio of mass to speed and accuracy is large).

There is everything on alishka. Russian resellers will have the same assortment, but the prices are 2...5 times higher (because they themselves order in alishka)
Electric drives
Batteries

Ali, for example.
Well, or in domestic shops, where the same thing is done with a triple wrap, but right away.

Steppers can be obtained from dead printers or sdroms (weak ones). find a repair shop and ask. Barter for a bottle of beer is also possible.
There you can also get hold of gears, belt rollers, etc.
In almost every city you can find laser cutting of acrylic or plywood, so after thinking everything over and drawing it, you can order all the details for yourself for a ridiculous price.
