The ideal option is to become a dealer of all brands and get your own api from each brand - this will turn out to be the most reliable and correct mechanism for guaranteed correct decryption of vin ... but the pleasure will not be very cheap)
A minimalistic option is to implement your own "decryption database" using the same Wikipedia. .. but even after struggling with its ambiguity, it will turn out to be a so-so option (at least there will
be difficulties with evobuses, Novgorod sprinters and a huge bunch of commercial and truck vehicles) maybe a car model or pull out something like "2008 Lacetti, gasoline, automatic transmission, leather, climate without esp"?
