Where can I find simple tasks for learning java?

Good afternoon. I'm reading "Java 7. The Complete Guide." Schildt. I have never done programming before and have no experience. Everything in the book is well written and accessible, but there are no tasks to consolidate the material. Is there any similar book for beginners, with problems for each topic / section?

Here in each chapter there are 10-20 tasks of varying complexity . The book is available completely free of charge.

Eckel's Java Philosophy has examples for each chapter that you can type in an editor and execute or just run in your head.

There is a problem with the toad book. Personally, after the block I studied, I set myself various tasks and did them, so the process is more creative and you gain more experience. Even after reading the manual, try to climb various freelance sites and try to do tasks from there. Six months of such movements will provide very good ground for further development.
