Where can I find an open source PHP project for beginners to learn?

Knowledge is slightly more than 0.
I would like to join some practical project, where absolutely beginners gathered, maybe with 1-2 people with a higher level. I think this is a good way to learn? I like programming, let's put it this way (no matter how arrogant it may sound).
Why RNR? Again, it seems to me that this is a promising language with great potential. Perhaps I'm wrong?
Alas, the years of childhood suitable for learning are lost. Knowledge, I repeat, a little more than the average man in the street.
Tell us about your similar experience? What do you think about this?

It is almost impossible for a zero beginner to join open source. The only place where you can effectively get the initial experience is the office.

Higher level people will either rewrite your code, or they will be too lazy to delve into it - as always with joint development.
If you want to enjoy programming - make your own project for interested parties (friends, family, residents of the area / house / entrance). And the feedback will be good and 1-2 people will find themselves (but the project will be yours).

It's all the same to everyone =)
And what do you want to get from your participation in open source?
Pump skills and good practice? It is doubtful here, because you know nothing about the level of these
1-2 cheliks a level higher
.
Learn from scratch? also incredible. Usually, in such projects, they accept your contribution in the form of a ready-made solution or a fix of some feature, and do not answer questions about how and what works in the language itself.
Personally, my opinion, this does not make much sense, it is with the level
Little more than 0 knowledge

As an option:
- learn the syntax of the language (if not already)
- write your store. This is useful because It has a lot of functionality that can be added. And during development, you will need to think over the architecture as a whole, deal with the operation of the database, make authorization and separation of rights, make the admin part, the basket, etc.
After that, you can upload it to some repository and ask for a review.

dubious idea - what can you learn from a beginner like you?
better join some popular framework like yii, with a large Russian community.
