Where can a student gain experience if studying takes a huge amount of time?

Hello everyone! I'm studying physics. Studying takes a huge amount of time, literally all day.
In addition to studying at the university, I do programming (I write in C / C ++, clumsily, of course, for now, but still), where can I gain experience without leaving my dorm room?

@Dit81

Solve problems from a C++ textbook or your own projects, participate in Open Source as an option...
Although I would concentrate on one thing, just spraying is very tiring... And for now I just read info about good programming techniques and clean code
